Quality of life and its predictors among patients with migraine in Qassim region, Saudi Arabia: a cross-sectional study

Abstract Background Migraine attacks can last for hours to days with severe pain which affect the daily activities. Literature on quality of life migraineurs is Saudi Arabia scarce. This study aimed assess and its predictors among patients migraine in Qassim region, Arabia. Methods A cross-sectional was conducted migraines Qassim, self-administered questionnaire distributed online that included; socio-demographic characteristics an Arabic version validated migraine-specific (MSQ), 2.1. Data analyses were performed SPSS 26. Results total 320 participated study. The most common age group 18–25 years (36.6%) females dominant (60.9%). According results MSQ 2.1, mean ± SD scores Role Restrictive (RR), Preventive (RP), Emotion Function (EF) 67.7 19.7, 68.5 20.6, 70.6 22.1, respectively. Statistical tests revealed who reported less frequent attacks, had better RR, RP, EF, while use paracetamol painkillers treatment headache associated lower EF. Conclusions generally moderate. Males demonstrated QOL than females. Furthermore, exhibited others but working likely demonstrate poor QOL.
